The Balloon Fairy...

The balloon fairy came to our house to visit a certain young lady who turns 13 tomorrow! I can't believe I am going to have a teenager on my hands!

Nine

Someone turned NINE in June. It's hard to believe, but she sure did. She woke up on her special day to balloons covering her room.....
She waited ALL DAY to open presents with family...a couple of her favorite ones....
A remote control Helicopter...very cool...we all love this one.
and her long awaited converse...in her favorite hue.

We topped off the evening with her 'organic' Whole Foods cake that she asked for. I still can't believe she is nine...my baby...isn't a baby anymore. She had a great day.

Memorial Day

I am kind of backed up on blogging....so here is a memorial day photo. We went to a cemetery so the girls could understand why we celebrate memorial day...here is my favorite.

4th of July

We went downtown...sort of...and watched the fireworks. What a beautiful display of Nashville Fireworks. Hope you had a good 4th.

Our Trip

Tim and I took a trip, we went to Chattanooga, just the two of us. It was a well deserved trip, my mom came and took care of the girls and the puppies and we just went. It was wonderful. We did a lot of walking and picture taking, well Tim did most of the picture taking, he is good at it. We woke up bright and early and went up to the mountains to get this shot of the sunrise. I am so glad we did, it is simply gorgeous. The night before we went up and drove around trying to find the best spot for this, and boy am I glad we did. Such a beautiful world we live in.
This in another sunrise picture he took...same mountain different place. Amazing.

On the same day we went to get the sunrise picture we took a train ride. It was only a 6 mile train ride, but it was fun, first time I had been on a train. It was lovely scenery.

We also went to Old Stone Fort state park. It has three waterfalls, this is one of them. We had such a good time...

Embody Happenings

Emma has been as busy as an 8 almost 9 year old can be. She was asked to be a part of the BYU Ambassadors program that was here a couple of weeks ago. She got to dance and sing on the stage with some really talented college kids. We were really proud of her. She was on the principle's list this year for straight A's. She picked out the fabric for her Easter skirt...I made these ruffle skirts and they were well received.

Mollie she is growing up to fast. She started playing the Violin at the end of January, went to contest in April and got a first on her solo. She impressed the judge when she was asked how long she had been playing and relplied a couple of months. I was so proud of her...she got some chicken nuggets for lunch. She has been on her first temple trip, started YW, went on her first band trip to Dollywood, and was nominated to be a Young Ambassador next year in 7th grade, a really great honor.
Both of the girls are doing well, and are ending the school year beautiful young ladies. They make Tim and I so proud.
